LabRisco has an area of ​​approximately 160 m2, with a data processing center, meeting room and two areas for researchers where the workstations are located. All environments are equipped with split system type air conditioning systems and security system. The laboratory is shared by professors, graduate and undergraduate students, encouraging integration between each group.

LabRisco has an efficient computing infrastructure that is constantly updated and improved through the purchase of new equipment. The laboratory also provides a communication portal via the web that allows registered users to remotely access its data area and available software.

In addition to traditional engineering and daily use software (eg Microsoft Office, Mathematica, Minitab, Statistica, MatLab, etc.), LabRisco provides specific software in different areas of knowledge, such as software for consequences and risk analysis. (Phast Risk, Leak, AgenaRisk, Nética, etc.), for CFD simulation (Ansys, FLACS), for systems simulators (Vensim PLE) and for naval systems (Shipflow, FriendShip). This list of software made available by the laboratory is constantly updated so that the demands of ongoing projects are fully met.
